Camping is a seasonal business here in northern Indiana. We are open April through October and we offer seasonal employment opportunities during this time period.

Types of Jobs

• HOUSEKEEPING: We need housekeepers for our cabins, staff to clean the bathhouses, laundry room, and all on site buildings inside and out. Laundry and breakfast bar duties as well.
• GENERAL MAINTENANCE/BUILDING AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE: This is a very versatile position which involves everything from mowing the lawn to handy man and odd job duties
• FOOD SERVICE: These jobs involve service of ice cream desserts at a walk up ice cream stand.
• OFFICE/RESERVATIONS: This job involves taking reservations, greeting and checking in customers, laundry and maintaining stock in a small gift shop.

Although some jobs have specific tasks we do cross train most of our employees.  Cross training means you will learn more than one job.  In the event of the loss of an employee or someone calling in sick we can utilize our employees in other positions or departments Generally speaking we are looking for quality hard working individuals who are team players. 

Part Time: Most jobs we offer are part time seasonal work.

Full time: Currently we do not have any full time job opportunities

Workcampers

Workampers or Workcampers are individuals who are Rvers and have chosen a life style that allows them to travel and work when and where they choose. They work 24 hours a week in exchange for their campsite and free Internet access.  Shipshewana Campground Inc. needs quality Workampers for most departments and couples are welcome.  Applicants must be physically able to work.
